Up to 80% of Sicilians Refuse AstraZeneca Vaccine

by Michael Curzon
11 April 2021 2:48 PM

Despite attempts by the Sicilian President to soothe fears over the relationship between the AstraZeneca vaccine and blood clots, as many as four in five people in the Southern Italian region are refusing the AZ jab. According to the Telegraph, President Nello Musumeci said: “In Sicily, there is an 80% refusal rate of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Every 100 people, 80 say no.” His spokeswoman clarified that the refusal rate is “up to” 80%, rather than 80% dead-on, citing the town of Syracuse as an example, where the rate is 30%. Musumeci urged people to look beyond their personal concerns and to take the vaccine when given the opportunity:

“It is natural [for people to be particularly concerned], but we have a duty to believe scientists when they say it is more dangerous not to get vaccinated than to get vaccinated.”

Italy was among the first nations to suspend the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine in early March due to concerns about its link to blood clots. In an interview with La Stampa, Franco Locatelli, the Italian Government’s top scientific advisor on Covid, said that fears over the AZ vaccine are “understandable, but unjustified”.

“I say that we are offering a vaccine that is safe and effective, which people must accept. That said, if we find ourselves facing a disarming number of defections, we will reconsider the issue.”

Sicily’s refusal rate is indicative of the damage done to the reputation of the AstraZeneca vaccine by reports on its side effects. Similarly, in Denmark, a recent survey found that far more Danes would decline to get an AstraZeneca Covid vaccine than would refuse to get a Covid jab altogether. Reuters reported:

One in three Danes would decline to get a Covid shot using AstraZeneca’s vaccine, local media outlets TV 2 and Politiken reported late on Wednesday, citing a recent survey. …

The survey, conducted by Megafon among 1,053 persons, showed 33% of Danes would decline to get a shot with AstraZeneca’s vaccine. However, only 7% would decline regardless of which Covid vaccine they were offered.

Polling suggests that Brits are more trustworthy of the AstraZeneca vaccine regardless of its links to blood clots. In a new YouGov survey, at least 75% of British respondents said that they trust the AZ jab.

Just because the AZ is so much in the media and the blood cots are an effect which is more diagnostable and traceable to the “vaccine”, everyone refuses AZ.
I would like to know how the Sicilians and other people think about the other “vaccines”. Because there is not much about bad effects from the other producers in the media does not mean they are better or cause less adverse effects! People need to remember that!

Valvena if it ever gets approved is an inactivated vaccine and i don’t think there has or could be any side effects from that.

Never say never. The human body is a mass of incredibly complicated interacting systems. Also, if the spike proteins are in the vaccine, CJD could be an issue (and maybe all sorts of other issues).

They are keeping very quiet about the adverse reaction to Pfizer and Moderna. I know at least 27 spontaneous abortions have been reported following a Pfizer injection. Pfizer & Moderna have never been used on humans before, so WTF are they doing giving these drugs to pregnant women? The abortions are also considered non-fatal events. I guess the fetus is just ‘collateral damage’.

Immune thrombocytopenia has also been reported with Pfizer and Moderna and was reported in NYT: https://archive.ph/tN5Pc

I think the regulators have just decided to ignore them.

Any evidence to back up this rather alarmist claim, or is it only the “I know” database?

Indeed. I would be interested to know what any of the conditioned public think about each vaccine. It may yield an insight into how the propaganda is going.
AZ seems to have more nasty effects at the moment, so I wonder if it is being set up as a sort of ‘sacrificial’ vaccine so that people clamour for the others. This leads to an interesting speculation. If there is a big pharma fraud, perpetrated by several greedy pharma companies, then AZ will not like this. It could lead to fractures in their oligopoly. This would be ‘a good thing’. The self-seeking cannot work together for long. I recall Gandhi:

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it – always.”

Add to that the comment about the vaccine being one that people have to accept, and the langauge is truly frightening. At least they’re being open about it, I’m sure Boris and co think the same, it’s just that they don’t say so in quite such a direct way. With pressure like that, 12 months of project fear, the prospect of vaccine passports etc. I don’t think that anyone can truly be said to have given informed consent if they “choose” to be vaccinated. Informed consent means you properly understand the risks of the illness and treatment on other and are not being coerced in any way, including not be barraged with propaganda or told you won’t be able to go to the pub, a football match etc.

Unethical behaviour by politicians; what a surprise. What might be interesting is the fact that ‘coercion’ can be a criminal offence now ( https://www.gov.uk/government/news/coercive-or-controlling-behaviour-now-a-crime ) . Although it seems to have been aimed at domestic issues, it surely does not mean that other parties are immune to it. Ask a solicitor, perhaps.

“…we have a duty to believe scientists when they say it is more dangerous not to get vaccinated than to get vaccinated.”
A. NO!!!!
B. These are not scientists.
They are corrupted, biased civil servants or drug company employees.
And they are not engaging with crrticism and different hypothesises but ignore, diffamate or censor them- the very definition of being unscientific and not acting like or being a proper scientist!

They are playing with our language, redefining things like “science”, “vaccine” and so on. It’s flexible enough to take on new terms for new things, if they are honest.

These may be some of the reasons why 80% of Sicilians don’t want to take the Astra Zeneca vaccine: Stefano Paternò, 43, Navy Officer serving in Augusta Sicily, died on 8/3/21 16 hours after receiving AZ vaccine; Davide Villa, Police Officer (Catania, Sicily) died on 7/3/21 12 days after receiving the AZ vaccine; Giuseppe Maniscalco, 54 Carabiniere Officer (Trapani – Sicily) died of heart attack 48 hours after receiving AZ vaccine; Zelia Guzzo, 37, Teacher (Gela, Sicily) brain haemorrhage received AZ vaccine on 1/3/21, died on 16/3/21;  Cinzia Pennino, 46,  Science Teacher (Palermo, Sicily) died on 28/3/21, 10 days after receiving AZ vaccine, thrombosis; Vincenzo Gallo, 37, Engineer from Naro, Agrigento, Sicily, received second dose of AZ vaccine on 26/2/21 and died 17/3/21; Augusta Turiaco, 55, Music teacher, Messina, Sicily, vaccinated 11/3/21 died 31/3/21, cerebral haemorrhage due to thrombosis; Mario Turrisi, 45, lawyer from Tusa (Messina, Sicily), received AZ vaccine on 12/3/21, admitted to hospital on 4/3/21, thrombosis and died just before Easter.

How anyone thinks it’s sensible to take a still- experimental cocktail of drugs is beyond me. No matter which ‘vaccine’ is being considered, full trial protocols should be adhered to. This ’emergency’ , for which special exemptions have been passed, isn’t a good enough excuse to potentially risk the long term health or lives of millions of frightened people. Psy- ops, big business and megalomania rule these days. I weep for the future.
