Quarter of Covid Deaths Not Caused by Virus

by Toby Young
13 April 2021 11:09 PM

Almost a quarter of registered Covid deaths are people dying ‘with’ Covid rather than ‘from’ it, new official figures show. The Telegraph has more.

The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that 23% of coronavirus deaths registered are now people who have died “with” the virus rather than “from” an infection.

This means that, while the person who died will have tested positive for Covid, that was not the primary cause of their death recorded on the death certificate.

Other data also shows an increasingly positive picture of the state of the pandemic in the UK.

Daily death figures by “date of death” reveal that Britain has had no more than 28 deaths a day since the beginning of April, even though the government-announced deaths have been as high as 60.

This is because the Government gives a daily update on deaths based on the number reported that day, which can include deaths from days or weeks previously and therefore may not reflect the true decline in deaths. On Tuesday, the Government announced that there had been 23 further deaths.

Worth reading in full.

I’d be very surprised if it were only a quarter. We’ve all heard the “with multiple comorbidities” line often enough to know the majority of these people were about to die anyway.

Well, of course! The proportion can be easily tailored to represent a drop. It is the total all-cause deaths that reveal if anything unusual is happening.

NOT ‘news’.
At least, to anyone paying attention.
(The readers of this website, for example.)

True, but the readers of this site overwhelmingly thought Mick Jagger supports anti-lockdown because Toby told them so.

Only a quarter?
Come off it.
Why didn’t they do autopsies on Covvicorpses?
Because they didn’t want to know the truth.
The only question is why they have now started to trim the lie a bit.

Yes.
Who’s rattled their cage?
I doubt it was us
I hope this is a start in the sense of a leak that becomes a flood but that is probably very much wishful thinking on my part but it is interesting.
No one will know the true figures but the starting point will be 9400 in 2020 reported as “purely” from Covid (official statistics) and build up from there.
However,I think the ONS will work from the other end ie how many minimum deaths can they get away with from the headline figures of 125000+ to keep within the government’s mythical storyline.
Worth watchng.

Clare Craig and the Covid19 Assembly are doing a review into the attribution of deaths over the last year; there is a pinned article above setting out their aims.

Sometimes it just takes a few people with scruples to give liars pause and a nudge in the right direction.

No autopsy required for Covid dead and only one Doctor required to sign the Death Certificate without necessarily having seen the patient/body.
In place from the start supposedly to prevent a build up of Covid corpses in the morgue because of ‘piffling bureaucracy’.

I’ve just raised the very same point before reading your comment, Anne. It’s probably the most important factor in all of this madness, yet it is barely talked about.

At the very least it is now time to reverse the regulations that loosen the requirements for signing death certificates.

When my dear m-i-l died last Friday morning, we were told to contact the district nurse who came out to certify the death, which she did. The paperwork was taken down to the health centre where the doctor was unable to sign the death certificate because he had not seen my mother-in-law for several years. She had been in and out of hospital but being housebound was unable to visit the surgery in person and of course, even before the Covid fiasco, doctors would not do house calls for love nor money.

I had a phone call from the surgery regarding the cremation certificate and was asked who was with m-I-l when she died-OH, myself and a hospice-at-home carer. Did I have any concerns about her death? -No, She would now go to the funeral home to view my mother-in -law. At least I didn’t get asked whether I thought she’d got Covid!

It has become virtually D-I-Y certification done at a distance over the phone.

So that’s less than 100,000 deaths – and we must remember that this figures is always quoted to spread over 2 respiratory virus seasons. Not looking so much different from a couple of normal bad flu seasons now is it?

I’m about to do a re-analysis a year on – but, looking at infection seasons since 1993, I found – in June – last year, 2019-20 ranked eighth in that period for all-cause mortality, corrected for population. Hardly ‘exceptional’. And that included the April spike.

All of those elderly in hospital with serious conditions were sent back to care homes to make way for ‘covid patients’, who subsequently died and the deaths verified remotely as covid.

Kate Andrews says, ‘to what extent will his government lean towards vaccines or lockdowns as a tactic for controlling Covid in the future?’, we know its not about controlling Covid but about controlling people by the Green Fundamentalists.

Suspect finally the ONS has had its knuckles wrapped by the National Statistics regulator, so this is a taken move to appease them.
We all know its more like 3/4 are not ‘of’ covid.
Still its something I guess.

Well … we have had the appalling experience of the head of the ONS indulging in speculative propaganda for the government. Time-servers are spreading the corruption everywhere, and will get gongs for it.

I read something (behind a paywall) last year about how coroners don’t need to perform autopsies on people suspected of dying from this normal seasonal virus. It was a rushed-through change of procedure right at the start of this madness. If this is true, I think it’s fair to say no one has died of covid-19 unless it is proven.

I think this was on the Covid information at the start, that ‘verified’ covid deaths could be exempt from post mortems unless the family requested them

Yes, this is it. Thanks Dan.

I think their reasoning was that there would be far too many people dying of this thing for the coroner to be able to contend with.

The main issue is that – despite the ONS stamp of approval (which is a sad lapse in statistical rigour) – no-one knows the number of deaths that can be actually actually attributed to Covid-19.

(Note also that the majority of people don’t understand the distinction between SARS-CoV-2 infection for real and Covid-19)

It is likely, however, that the real figures are around the inverse of those quoted – i.e. about a quarter of the total are really ‘Covid deaths’

I have been reading that no research lab in the world has yet isolated an entire ‘covid’ virus strand(?) Only yesterday, I read of an american research hospital that analysed several thousand ‘PCR positive’ results to find that the tests had responded to fragments of Influenza (Flu) virus, and that not one contained a whole strand of identifiable ‘covid’.

I now believe that these vague tests identify fragments of the many flu or other coronaviruses we all carry, and we have all been hoodwinked into believing that a new virus exists when nothing of the sort can be proven.

Q. Why have deaths caused by flu dropped to zero? A. the testers aren’t looking for them!

Q. Why have positive ‘covid’ tests fallen? A. flu always disappears in the spring/summer, only to return in another form the following winter! (Boris’ forward planning)

Simples! or maybe you know better…….

A recent FOI request to the Scottish Government states that the number of people who have died of covid (between March ’20 and Jan 30th ’21) with no pre-existing medical conditions is 596. Go figure.

Don’t you know, LP, that 2 and 2 make 5 and if you say that 2 and 2 make 4 then you are a Covid denier with blood on your hands.

Add to the 25% all the instances where GPs etc have put COVID as the cause of death on the death certificate when it had been definitively established that the deceased was not infected with this virus!!
