12 Year-Olds to Be Given Covid Vaccines from September

by Michael Curzon
23 April 2021 10:59 AM

Children as young as 12 will be given Covid vaccines when they return to school after summer, according to leaked “core planning” documents. Even younger children could be vaccinated shortly afterwards, with Oxford University’s ongoing child vaccine study testing the AstraZeneca jab on 300 children aged six to 17. The Government reportedly wants to vaccinate the young to help the nation avoid a third wave of Covid infections. MailOnline has the story.

Children as young as 12 will get their coronavirus vaccines from September as the Government tries to avoid a third wave, reports say…

There are also reportedly plans for Britons over 50 to be given booster jabs in the autumn amid fears over Covid variants sweeping Europe…

A source told the Sun: “Plans are in place to vaccinate children aged 12 upwards, and senior Government officials have been briefed.

“Though controversial, it is deemed necessary to stop the U.K. regressing in its remarkable fight against Covid.”

Health officials are also said to be looking into jabbing children as young as five from July in a “worst-case scenario”.

The leaked report shows the Government’s contingency plan if the roadmap out of lockdown this summer leads to a surge in variants…

The Department of Health said no decision has been taken, adding: “We will be guided by experts once clinical trials have concluded.”

This comes in spite of the low risk presented by Covid to young people (as few as 14 people under the age of 20 in England and Wales have died of Covid in 2021) and the fact that a large proportion of those who are vulnerable – whom the Government fears young people could infect – have been vaccinated. (More than 11 million people have now received two doses of a Covid vaccine and 95% of over-50s have been vaccinated.)

Last month, Sean O’Grady, the Associate Editor of the Independent, said that the vaccination of the young should be mandatory.

I would vaccinate every child old enough to receive it, as a condition of receiving a state education. …

Of course, in the end, we do not want to live in a country where gangs of officials grab unvaccinated children or adults, wrestle them to the ground and forcibly inject them. But we do want to live in a country where rights are balanced by responsibilities, and where mutual obligations need to be fulfilled.

Incentives and penalties, taxes and fines, court orders and conditions of employment – restrictions on liberty – are commonplace in our daily lives; for the protection of the community as a whole. If we want to drive the wrong way down a motorway, then there are legal consequences for doing so.

Meanwhile, the reported risk of suffering from blood clots after taking the AstraZeneca vaccine (Britain’s primary Covid vaccine) has doubled in a fortnight, according to new data from the Medical Healthcare products and Regulatory Agency. The European Medicines Agency has also said that a warning about blood clots should be added to labels for the Johnson & Johnson Covid vaccine, which is likely to be approved for use in the U.K. in the coming weeks. Dr Alan Mordue, a retired public health consultant, recently wrote for Lockdown Sceptics that “the potential benefits [of vaccination] may not be justified by the potential risks” for people under the age of 50.

The Mail’s report is worth reading in full.

I should hope so. But the government doesn’t seem to give a toss. They are no longer afraid of the electorate. They are more afraid of their corporate sponsors. This is a very dangerous state of affairs and needs to change.

Why would they be afraid? The electorate support them.

People are taking the vaccine. The polls are reflecting what most people think. Even if they’re wrong they are never too far out.

If you believe those who are opposed to vaccinating children are in the majority I fear you are going to be seriously disappointed.

If the media, sponsored by the government and big business, continue to not tell the whole truth, you may well be right, Mayo.

If more of the truth of vaccine side-effects, injuries and deaths comes out, as it has started to, that situation will change.

I think that unfortunately the brainwashing has been too successful and for people who don’t bother to do their own thinking and rely on the BBC to tell them what to do if the BBC backs the campaign then they will get their kids vaccinated so they don’t pass covid on to others. Whether we like to accept it or not we – the LS – are the minority and while we see through it all and are horrified at the prospect of kids being vaccinated with all the potential harms that cause unless you have woken up to what is going on you won’t see the danger.

Very scary indeed the total lack of inquisition beyond what is spouted by the media.

My guess is that fewer will support the vaccination of children, but that will still leave a significant number who do.

I think the polls are often very far off the truth. Hence the constant push to vaccinate. If people were really fully behind vaccination there would be no need to coerce, frighten or intimidate. No one needed this when BCJ or Polio vaccines were introduced.

Sorry – that’s just a wishful comfort blanket. Opinion polls may be used in that way – but it is not to the advantage of polling organisations to get a reputation for inaccurate PR scams.

It is clear that the population that was dim enough to accept Johnson in the first place are still labouring under illusions.

They are still under the illusion that it is all about a virus – they have no idea of what is being ushered in under its cover. They think that life will one day go back to normal – they don’t realise that with every day that passes and every action they take that perpetuates this state of affairs they get ever further and further away from normality.

Exactly. This is the reason that masks will be the last to go – if they ever go. As my mother said to me this morning: “If we have to wear masks, there must be a reason. The government wouldn’t be going to these lengths for nothing!” That’s what we’re dealing with folks. The government knows how easy it is to get the public in its pocket because it knows that the plebs all think like my mother. A profound abuse of trust, much like child abuse. Johnson is simply a sociopath. He beholds suffering and is unaffected by it. He’s a monster.

Bollocks to ‘variants’.
As Mike Yeadon points out in the roundup video yesterday the genetic difference between ‘wild’ Covid and the Brazil, South Africa and Kent mutants is 0.3%

People in Asia who were exposed to SARS One 17 years ago still have substantial immunity to Covid despite a 20% genetic difference (might have been 30%) because the body remembers the earlier threat.

The natural immunity to SARS I is immunity to the actual virus so it may be more resistant to variants (more epitopes) than immunity to the relatively short sequences of protein used in the vaccines.

Stop being unfair. What are basic medical ethics when the government has to sell the vaccines that they bought sight unseen? They’re in a very difficult position, and could be made to look stupid – or even evil – if they admitted it was a nonsense.

This is scandalous and nothing to do with public health. Oxford University has received in excess of £97 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation over recent years and I’ve no doubt that this is the source of funding for the child vaccine study. As the foundation is also the major investor in the Global Alliance for Vaccination and Immunisation (GAVI) the conflict of interest is blatant.

“Who in their right mind would allow their children to receive an experimental gene therapy?” The kind of idiot who would inject it into themselves, that’s who. Is it really such a leap that something a family and their friends deem fit for themsleves or their parents and grandparents wouldn’t be deemed fit for the children? If you believe in this crap then you don’t see the danger because you don’t know about it and you are being constantly told by the government and the media it is safe and fully tested, when the exact opposite is true, plus it has been given the go-ahead by these snake oil salesmen Doctors like Professor Marshall who featured in a LS article yesterday. Now the schools are recommending it too. “It MUST be safe!”, people will understandably conclude, but they are being tricked into reaching that conclusion because the real science says there is plenty of reason to deem these injections as very unsafe. Real science suggests we should be extremely wary of these injections, but these people have no doubts at all and the issues are being deliberately and blatantly hidden from them. 32 million people have done this, so it… Read more »

Yes the report came out in France on 2 April. Its not the only one. I am not even sure Macron is that keen himself on pushing the vaccine, its all a bit ‘hit and miss’ here. There is much huffing and puffing, but its still left to the individual to get one. I am approaching 70 and no-one has contacted me about one, thank god. The latest non-lockdown ( except for the continuing 7pm curfew, which no-one in the countryside seems to take any notice of) the only real difference was the kids had an extra week off school after Easter, is coming to an end on 3 May. The numbers of so-called cases are just as high as before because the 20-30 year olds are getting tested, and the ICU numbers are just as high. But this is France and May is the ‘bridging’ month , its about the lowest productive month of the year. So everyone will go for breaks anyway whatever the government says, so they have sensibly decided to end most restrictions, including geographic restrictions. Its expected restaurants/bars/cafes will reopen for ‘terraces’ initially and then fully , probably supposedly phased in over the month. If… Read more »

What possible justification can they have for “vaccinating” children if they are not affected by covid and the people who get ill from covid (the elderly and already sick) are already vaccinated? Literally, it’s nonsense. But is anyone asking that question? Check your media – is anybody asking??

It is extremely pertinent here that the study includes only 300 children. Is that big enough to show if a treatment is safe, even in the short term? LS editors, if you’re reading the comments, PLEASE invite a professional to write a piece addressing the adequacy, or otherwise, of the trial.

Not that we have any right to coerce vaccination anyway.

The other day someone asked why all the sudden attention being given to India. Simple, with 1.3b people it’s easy to come up with big numbers.

Today the Telegraph reports
‘India resorts to mass cremation . . .’ leaving one to imagine piles of bodies being burned in mass bonfires.
They post this on YouTube as evidence.

I would suggest that with all that ventilation this building is specifically designed for the task, each pyre is in its own sunken hearth and that this is normality, much like a Crematorium.

Can someone with legal training write a template letter that a parent can send to the school, to warn of the consequences, if their child is *accidentally* vaccinated without their permission?

Warning of “consequences” would be a case of shutting stable door after horse has bolted. Template letter is good idea – maybe lawyers for liberty are working on one – but it would be better framed in terms similar to an advance directive along the lines of “I do not permit my child to be vaccinated.” so that the child is protected and the refusal of the vaccine is done for them ahead of time if the child would not be able to give informed consent on their own behalf.

This is horrendously immoral. There is absolutely no net benefit to children but there is potential harm. Even if blood clots etc are 1 in a million that could lead to 10 dead children. 10,000 elderly lives are not worth sacrificing 10 children to protect.

Adults are supposed to protect children, not put them at risk to protect themselves.

Their parent believe it, they believe it, and they feel that they are doing a good, kind, conscientious, altruistic thing being vaccinated.
