Government Adviser Says the Prevalence of Covid Variants Means “There’s a Very Strong Argument” for Vaccinating Children

by Michael Curzon
12 June 2021 10:56 AM

Despite warnings from a wide range of health experts against giving children Covid vaccines, including from a member of the Government’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation, it seems increasingly likely that Government’s across the U.K. will decide to include children in their vaccine roll-outs in the near future.

On Saturday, Professor Peter Openshaw, a member of the Government’s New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group (NERVTAG) and Professor of Experimental Medicine at Imperial College London, said that the prevalence of Covid variants means “there’s a very strong argument” for the vaccination of children. The MailOnline has more.

He told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “A lot of people are sitting on the fence about this but I think on balance I’m coming to the view that vaccination of children – there’s a very strong argument there.”

He said the vaccine was safe for children, while prolonged symptoms of coronavirus meant one in 10 sufferers have not fully recovered.

He added: “Originally with the Wuhan strain it didn’t seem there was very much amplification of the epidemic going on amongst people who were at school in contrast to what we know about influenza, where schools are often the major driver of spread.

“But with these more transmissible variants it is evident that they are being transmitted much more amongst young adults and school children and even younger children and that seems perhaps to be a change in the biological quality of the infection.

“It’s still fortunately not causing very high disease rates amongst those kids but it does strengthen the argument against vaccination.”

He said the Government “absolutely needs to have the discussion” as research proves the “safety and efficacy in terms of generating an antibody response in children”…

Meanwhile, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) last week approved Pfizer’s Covid vaccine for 12 to 15 year-olds.

But no decision has yet been taken on whether to extend the rollout to under-18s once all adults have been offered a jab.

And there are now concerns in the U.S. that the Pfizer jab might have health risks for children that outweigh the benefits, with officials there fearing around 200 cases of heart damage among under-30s could have been linked to the jab.

The MHRA said it has not seen any such cases in the U.K. but the JCVI has advised that young adults or children should not be given the AstraZeneca jab unless it’s the only option because of a small blood clot risk.

The JCVI is expected to tell ministers the move to give jabs to children would be a “political decision”.

Worth reading in full.

Indeed. Significance-seeking and gong-chasing are clear motivators in this business.

… and, of course, he’s fully signed up to the political agenda in his NERVTAG role.

“He has worked on RSV and influenza since the mid-1980s, leading a large Wellcome Trust funded national collaboration: Mechanisms of Severe Acute Influenza Consortium MOSAIC (2009-12), recruiting cases of severe influenza during the influenza pandemic of 2009-2010.

He has run studies of human experimental infection of volunteers since 2008 and is Director of the MRC-funded HIC-Vac consortium established to promote the use of human experimental infection to accelerate vaccine development. for pathogens of high global impact.”

… ’nuff said.

Judging by Twitter, I think a lot of people are just going for civil disobedience now, which IMO is the correct route. Just ignore whatever the government says, they can’t arrest everybody. Got this email from UK Unity just now: I am sure you will have seen on our social media feeds and across the various platforms all the SICKENING images from the G7 summit as these globalists gather to rub our noses in the dirt. Unlike the plebs they don’t need to social distance or quarantine and they ensure that those serving them have masks on. You know who I am really annoyed with though? The people of this country who are willingly go along with this farce. Our social media channels are now inundated with trolls accusing us of being selfish etc. etc. Well the truth is I am no longer prepared to have my life and that of the decent people of this country’s lives put on hold by low i.q sheeple, they are as big a part of the problem as the elites. It really is very simple, on the 21st of June everything opens up and we carry on with our lives. Mass non-compliance to be allowed for a while, and then they send the police in to pick you off one by one later. Remember, the police have been videoing and photographing people at the protests, and they can confirm it was ‘you’ because your mobile phone was also triangulated for that location, and also with the footage from all those cameras you walked past. It is all being recorded. All your text-messages and phone calls. And kept forever to be pulled out and used against you. I sometimes wonder what happened to the East German guards who prevented people from leaving the country, and who shot and killed people, and tortured them. Did they ever get punished? Do the people of Germany know who they are today and where they live and what they do? Perhaps recording as much as you can and making lists might help with a coming ‘reckoning’? Evidence of who did what, when and where. People just do not seem angry enough yet. And the schools will offer your children a handful of gummy bears to get the jab, telling them that they’re sure your mummy and daddy would like you to protect them. Kids will… Read more »

The BBC did an article on vaccinating children this morning, at no point did they give the statistics on what effect covid has on children (a big fat zero). Instead they came up with the angle that it would prevent further school closures and because of the unvaccinated not allowing the country to reach herd immunity. It was an utter disgrace piece of reporting.
But because they’re a trusted news source people believe their tow the line nonsesense. Why are people so stupid that they can’t see through this, especially as on the same show they were saying vaccinated people have died of covid. Which makes the point what fucking use is the vaccine.
Nobody in their right mind should let it near their children, but you can guarantee people will be queing up. Why can’t they inform themselves instead of listening to dickheads like Peter Openshaw.
My children are not going anywhere near the vaccine.

Well, the BBC is a Government mouthpiece, which is why there have been BBC news blackouts on all the massively attended anti lockdown/mask demos. The BBC is controlled by the Government through the licence fee, and uses Capita to enforce its collection. It’s a criminal offence to avoid paying, and there are more women offenders in prison than any other group. BTW, Capita is still paying its last, retired CEO a full salary.

They define “Long Covid” as “any symptom lasting more than 4 weeks”. So if little Johnny coughs in the fourth week, or tells his mother who has Munchhausen’s By Proxy that he’s fatigued because he doesn’t want to do his homework then he’s a “Long Covid Case”.

Then people think you need to vax children or they will have debilitating sequelae etc. etc. for six months.

I wonder how many kids will die before they stop.

If we don’t jab kids, then we get a large (and increasing over time) percentage of the population acquiring natural immunity. That makes the roll-out of electronic certification – vaccine passports – much harder.. Jabbing kids has nothing to do with medicine and everything to do with the surveillance state.

I see the roll out of a social credit system like what they have in China. If you comply with the state you get social credits if you don’t credits are deducted, so if you want to live somewhere nice you have to have the credits, if you want medical treatment you need the credits, if you want to buy a train ticket it’ll depend on your social credit score.

If you want to improve your social credit score you need to comply with the state, if you associate with low social credit people your score will go down etc.

UBI is being trailed in Wales and other countries, so paying people not to bother working but only if you comply.

“It’s still fortunately not causing very high disease rates amongst those kids” On that basis they don’t need any form of medical treatment let alone a “vaccine”. Since when was there a rational argument for treating people that are not ill for a disease they are unlikely to suffer significant effects from even if they catch it.

Just as the CDC reports new issues with vaccination in young people they want to double down on this. We have global data showing schools and school age children pose no risk to population or themselves and yet this is happening.

And remember, every jab we stick in a 16 year old who faced more risk getting to the vaccination in an automobile than from Covid cannot be put into a 60 year old with lung issues in India, Egypt, Brasil, or Peru. The ethical vacuum of these people is astounding.

Let us look how skillful people lie.

He said the vaccine was safe for children, while prolonged symptoms of coronavirus meant one in ten sufferers have not fully recovered.

1) The vaccines are not safe for children. Italy being the latest to ban the AZ vaccine, this time for those under the age of 60 and last time I looked most children are in that category.

2) When he says 1 in ten sufferers have not fully recovered, does he mean children or all sufferers? I think I know the answer.

The size of this conspiracy against the people is massive. We are in a lot of trouble.

Besides all the other points, basic evolutionary microbiology says that mass vaccination with a vaccine that offers little protection from infection is what drives vaccine escape. This is 10x times worse (faster) where the vaccines only target a portion of the virus which happens to be the most mutable part of it.

Through this weird quasi-religious zeal to inject the world they’re putting the vulnerable (including my elderly relatives) once again at significant risk, whilst offering the non-vulnerable (including my children) negligible protection from the virus and possibly even introducing new risks to their health.
