Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak Will Spend “Freedom Day” in Self-Isolation After Speedy U-Turn Due to Backlash Over Quarantine Exemption

by Michael Curzon
18 July 2021 1:29 PM

When it was first suggested that Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak would need to self-isolate after coming into contact with Health Secretary Sajid Javid, who has tested positive for Covid, Downing Street reported that the pair would be exempt from the rule as part of a pilot scheme (how convenient!). They have since been forced to U-turn due to the backlash following the announcement and will spend ‘Freedom Day’ in isolation. Sky News has more.

“The Prime Minister has been contacted by NHS Test and Trace to say he is a contact of someone with Covid,” a spokesperson said.

“He was at Chequers when contacted by Test and Trace and will remain there to isolate. He will not be taking part in the testing pilot.

“He will continue to conduct meetings with ministers remotely. The Chancellor has also been contacted and will also isolate as required and will not be taking part in the pilot.”

Mr Sunak tweeted: “Whilst the test and trace pilot is fairly restrictive, allowing only essential Government business, I recognise that even the sense that the rules aren’t the same for everyone is wrong.

“To that end, I’ll be self-isolating as normal and not taking part in the pilot.” …

Mr Javid revealed on Saturday that he had tested positive for Covid – only a day after the Health Secretary reportedly met with Mr Johnson in Downing Street.

But this morning, Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick appeared on Sky News to defend Downing Street’s initial announcement that the PM and chancellor would not be isolating.

He said: “I appreciate the frustration [the public] might feel listening to this.

“They, like me, or other members of the public who are pinged will have to self-isolate in the usual way.”

Having seen Mr Jenrick sent on to the morning politics programmes to defend the original decision, Sky’s Political Correspondent Rob Powell described the situation as “baffling”.

“This is a pretty speedy U-turn,” he said.

While Mr Jenrick referred to being “pinged”, the PM and chancellor were in fact contacted by NHS Test and Trace directly rather than simply being alerted by the NHS Covid app.

That means that there is a legal obligation to self-isolate for 10 days, whereas being pinged by the app is only guidance. …

Mr Jenrick encouraged people to keep the app installed and self-isolate when pinged.

Worth reading in full.

True – and to think that the ‘best’ the UK and US can seemingly do is the Fat Dictator and the Senile Dictator is truly staggering.

Theatre is entertainment, an escape from reality. Watching my country turn into a totalitarian state with seemingly no way out is sadly not theatre.

Just another day in clownworld.
At what point to the normies wake up and wonder just what TF they signed on for?
Every day the farce goes on, the clowns keep bloviating and our society becomes more impoverished and embarrassing.

There are some silver clouds to this pingdemic. Twice in the last week I’ve jumped the queue for a haircut and a car service because some lemmings are using this app.

Not all of them are lemmings – many are jumping at the chance to have 10 days off work on full pay, especially while the sun is shining.

Agreed – it will just reinforce thier view that they are virtuous and “caring”. They will make sure that they tell everyone on Facebook, and their friends will all ‘like’ the posting which will further reinforce their view of what a wonderful person they are.

Not that I’m cynical, of course.

I don’t think slimy Sunak and the Fat Adulterer are going to be too worried about 10 days off work all expenses paid (by you). They probably haven’t even been ‘pinged’ and have just made it up.

Asked about Johnson’s explanation that he was acting out of loyalty to an old friend, Collier said: “He might have gone to Eton with Guppy, but loyalty shouldn’t really extend to plotting to have a journalist beaten up. I’m just amazed that he acted in this way, that he didn’t have the gumption not to get involved with someone like Guppy.

“He went quite a way along the line of plotting to get me beat up. He didn’t dismiss it from what I gather … From reading the transcript, he was well prepared to help Guppy find my address and for Guppy to then get me assaulted.”

On the taped call, Guppy tells Johnson he wants to scare Collier by getting heavies to give him “a couple of black eyes” and a “cracked rib”. Appearing to indicate he is happy to help supply Collier’s address, Johnson is heard saying at the end of the call: “OK, Darry, I said I’ll do it. I’ll do it, don’t worry.”

I work online with telemedicine and can tell that so far there’s massive number of cough and cold cases this summer in the USA and probably 97% of them are jabbed. I fear what the winter brings to the vaccinated population. Stay away from the shot please.

What a farce, why on earth does anyone who is double jabbed have to isolate if they have come into contact with someone who later tested positive for Covid? If the vaccines work then what is the problem? If they do not work the why have we spent a fortune jabbing everyone with them.

Johnson and Sunak should spend everyday in isolation, ideally in a prison cell, instead they are allowed to keep working at destroying the country.

Johnson never had Covid. When he went to hospital around a year ago, I said to my partner it’s all fake and he won’t die. Guess what.
These people, like Adolf Hitler, are protected by their bodyguards, and are untouchable.

LFT test has nothing to do with viral diagnosis, it’s all about acidity.
Kids are tricking the tests into giving false positives using orange juice- citric acid.
What’s the common theme of people having a test done?
Wearing a mask.
What happens when you wear a mask for long periods?
Saliva needed to maintain neutral pH in mouth dries out, residual moisture in mouth and nose becomes over-saturated with CO2 trapped in air pocket behind the mask – CO2 + H2O = carbonic acid.
That’s all it is folks, LFT is nothing more than a pH test and it keys off acidity.
